I’m constantly working on developing my techniques to explore the intersection of “generative” and “organic.” I want to create art using procedural algorithms while also maintaining a “hand drawn” feel to my work. My goal is to find a way for the generative repetition to add something new and unique to the gestural lines that I’m learning to create with code.
These circles are an example of the technique I am trying to achieve, where the human hand is mixed with the algorithm in a unique way. The circles are based off of lines that I drew and converted into curves. Then, by using the computer I am able to manipulate the circles thousands of times in just a few minutes. I love the way it turned out, and I look forward to continuing down this path.
